i decided i couldn't just mention Mason Jennings and leave it at that. mason jennings was born in hawaii, but got his big break into music in minneapolis. he plays folky music but more contemporary than usual, and much more enjoyable, in my opinion... (: like i mentioned in my previous post, his music is similar to the beautiful girls, brett dennen, matt costa, and donovan frankenreiter. the first song i heard of his has been my favorite since then it's called empire builder and it's incredible! i love most of his songs though, but my other favorites are soldier boy, your new man, and the ballad of paul and sheila... playing his songs on your guitar is also really fun (: and here's another link to tickle your ears
